Analytics only get you so far

I’m going to say something a little controversial: Tepper’s analytics didn’t come in handy this summer. I benefited most from my one-on-one coaching with Accelerate, network of peers, and Managing People & Teams course.

On being the engineer who prefers social sciences

Real talk. By all practical, statistical standards, I fall into the Tepper engineer demographic. From a personal standard, I can wholeheartedly tell you that, while I embrace my ultra process engineer tendencies and deep love of manufacturing, by no means am I the classic Tepper student looking to work in tech. I don’t own an […]

My journey to a PM internship without a technical background

Full disclosure, I entered Tepper without an engineering degree and had no idea how to code. But despite these seemingly “required” skills, I landed an internship as a Product Manager for a top tech company. It wasn’t a fluke and it also wasn’t an easy journey. I often have prospective students ask me, “How did […]

Welcome Weekend!

Springtime is an exciting time of year: birds are singing, flowers are blooming, (snow is occasionally falling, to general disappointment), and admitted MBAs are arriving on campus to get to know Tepper better before they start in August. Their two-day immersive experience is run by the Admissions team and a seven-member student committee and staffed by current students, faculty, and administration to make it an exciting introduction to MBA life.

Who Runs the (Tepper) World? Girls!

We recently held elections for next year’s GBA. One year after electing 2 men for the positions of President and Vice President, we made a complete 180 and elected 2 women to lead the GBA next year. This is pretty exciting because not only do we have two very qualified candidates leading but also this […]

The Importance of Giving Tuesday & Giving Back

Giving Tuesday is a huge day for many organizations including Tepper. While organizations make a big push for donations on this day, this was an important day for the Class of 2018 Gift Campaign. Our goal is to be the first class to ever reach 100% participation. When we launched our campaign last month, we […]

Student Spotlight – Max Lo Presti

This past week I sat down to learn more about my classmate, Max Lo Presti. The idea of the student spotlight is for our readers and prospective students to get to know our current students! Me: Hi Max, thanks for taking a few minutes today for the Tepper blog. Can you start by telling me […]
