Admissions Blog: Interviews
Happy New Year everybody! We MBAs still have some time left before we head back to campus for Mini 3, so I’m stepping in again with another application tips post! As with previous posts, I’ll share a few tips from first-year MBA students on the MBA Admissions blog.
In this last post of the series, the students cover the all-important STAR method (that is, Situation, Task, Action, Result) for your admission interview. Penny Barnes reminds you that you’ll be using it for the rest of your career, and Ben O’Bright recommends preparing stories that you know can answer several behavioral questions.
Also, all four students provide some ideas for next steps:
- Chat with admission ambassadors, students who have volunteered to answer prospective students’ questions.
- Visit the campus.
- Attend the Tepper Women in Leadership Conference. (I can vouch for how awesome this conference is!)
- Attend admission events.
That’s it from me! If you didn’t read the previous posts, read about personal narratives, application essays, and resume and recommendations. Good luck on preparing your applications!
