Admissions Blog: Application Tips
Whew! Another mini almost done. Most of us MBAs are deep in study for finals, so we’re definitely looking forward to a couple weeks off from classes. With classes and club activities ending, there’s not a lot to say on this blog.
Fortunately, the Admissions office has got us covered for content! They run a blog for prospective MBA students on the admissions process. Recently, some of the first-year MBA students offered application tips in a series of posts on the blog.
In the first post, they talk about how to write your personal narrative and how to frame your goals. Basically, you want your narrative to tell the story of why you want to get an MBA. Ben O’Bright said to choose stories that impacted you personally, but not to worry too much about telling a unique, interesting story. Nitzan Sherman, though, says it should demonstrate what makes YOU unique. Cynthia Mills said that when you’re thinking about your goals, you need to consider what the unifying theme is that carries through your choices.
Keep in eye on this blog throughout the next couple weeks for more application tips!
