Diversity Weekend (+Pittsburghaversary)
Last weekend was the Diversity Weekend at Tepper. My favorite event! Exactly a year earlier, I was an attendee still not sure whether an MBA was right for me. A Tepper student guided me through school during the Friday social event; Dean Dammon presented during the dinner on Saturday; and Leanne Meyer and Jarred Lazear provided insights on what makes a good leader on Sunday. These were just some of the amazing events from the weekend. A weekend that would eventually convert me into a full-time MBA student.
And this year I was on the other side. I got to meet people who were just like me three months ago, full of ambition, not sure what to do next in life, but sure that something has to change. Everyone’s MBA journey is different, but desire to leap forward is something common I find among all prospective and current students.
This year’s dinner with Dean Dammon was also held at a gorgeous venue, the Carnegie Museum of Art Hall of Architecture. A family member was visiting me the same weekend so sadly I had to skip the dinner :(, but my classmate, Shetara Edden (MBA 2020), was kind enough to share these photos.
