MBA Student Club Spotlight: Tepper Cares

TepperCARES

The Graduate Business Association (also known as the GBA) is our student government. We have over 40 different MBA clubs, including professional, affinity, and social clubs. Each month, we will be talking to a featured club and posting about it here on the blog.

Tepper Cares

What is Tepper Cares’ mission?

Tepper Cares leads community service initiatives in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Our goal is to provide volunteers with high-quality service experiences that complement the MBA education.

Who can join? Does it cost anything?

Tepper Cares is open to the whole Tepper Community. There is no membership fee or requirements for participation.

How does the club interact with the Tepper Community?

We help to plan and participate in community service driven events throughout the Pittsburgh region that the entire community can participate in. These include Community Day during BaseCamp; volunteering to make dinner for patients and families at Family House; organizing food drives to benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank; organizing toy drives such as Toys for Tots; mentoring local middle and high school students; and volunteering at local soup kitchens.

Where can I learn more?

Visit our website or reach out to one of the officers; we are always happy to talk to both current and prospective MBA students!
